Bajrangi Bhaijaantey Lugaum is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language biographical drama film directed by Kabir Khan and written by Hussain Zaidi. It is the third installment in the Bollywood film series of Jolly LLB which follows the journey of an honest lawyer, played by Akshay Kumar, who questions the judicial system. The film was scheduled for release on 12 December 2017 . The trailer of bajrangibaileylugaum was released on 6th Sep,2017. This movie will show how an Indian lawyer's transformation began when he started questioning legal procedures and led to his personal gains and his profession getting tarnished with political manipulation. The audience will witness his journey which leads him to discovering the truth. The movie is set in Shillong city in northeast India, where the scriptwriter ensures that their becomes an eye-opening story for the audience. Although it is inspired by real events, the film is fictionalized. It also shows how two men with different ideologies get along when each challenges judicial procedures and fights for his own rights while promoting their beliefs in law and order. The film explores how if a person fights for his own rights, he may become antagonistic towards other parties who seem to have become corrupt or one sided because of political clout. The film was launched on 6th Sep 2017 at Mumbai with Akshay Kumar arriving to promote this movie. Bajrangi Bhaijaantey Lugaum Movie Trailer Kabir Khan has said that the film is inspired by the story of Jolly LLB, but he has altered it to show how a man fights for his own rights, rather than for the public good. He said, "We are trying to tell a very simple story, which is how society benefits when people go about their business in an honest manner. I was reading about Jolly LLawyer and what he did for society, and I thought it would be interesting to take that theme and make it into a script. On the other hand, we have a gangster who has done something for himself." Khan titled it as "reverse Jolly LLB" as the film is an antithesis of its predecessors. Kangana Ranaut plays a lawyer in this film. She said that her role was similar to that of Akshay Kumar's character in Jolly LLB, but there are differences between them. She said that her character is more close to real life than its fictional counterpart. It will be produced under Tips Music Films Ltd. by Ritesh Sidhwani & Farhan Akhtar and it will be distributed by Fox Star Studios India and Tips Films. Principal photography of the film began in Mumbai on 16 October 2017. Filming also took place in Shillong. The music for this film is composed by Vishal Mishra while the lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil. The first song "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" was released on 13 September 2017. The second song, a Hindi rendition of a popular folk Punjabi song "Laddu diyan gallan", was released on 27 September 2017.
